I’m a Canadian citizen trying to find a way to move to northern california, more specifically the roseville/lincoln area.

I want to go down to help support a friend that’s going through a very rough time. My only real work experience is a couple years in oil and gas production, but I have been able to find no information on potential jobs that I would qualify as a skilled worker. I’m willing to do basically anything as long as I can afford to live and have the time to look after my friend. Does anyone have any suggestions? I’m really stranded here as far as what I can do.

I guess that’s something I’ll have to look into…most training in the industry prepares you for any position. But would the fact that I was working in the field, make that a problem? Please any more suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
