A christian is someone who says one thing and does another and the church today is a safe haven for those who cannot come to terms with their own fallibility.

The differences are like night and day. The Christian church today is a business. A for profit business that is exempt from paying taxes unlike the rest of us. The Kingdom of God is that place inside each person that tells them what is right and what is wrong. No church door will gain you admittance.

the kingdom of god is on earth as we are all gods children but the church today is controlled, controlled by people, we are influenced in it, we aare taught there the right way to live but even the church can get it wrong because it is not the kingdom it is a temple. a man made temple mad in gods honor

What a bunch of loaded questions. Yes the church (I’m betting every church) is full of people who are there for all the wrong reasons. Church has almost nothing to do with the kingdom of God. Always has been, always will be. Being a Christian is a personal relationship between God and the person. Good works, money, and idle chatter will not get anyone into heaven. The Bible is repleat with analogies explaining that the only way to heaven is through Jesus ergo through God - individually judged, not enmasse by church or religion. Good luck - hope to see you there.

I also agree with E Pluribus.

The kingdom of God is within people. But I do think that the church is important. It is a group of people who are made up of people who might or might not be part of the kingdom. The church is where people should be going to learn about God, worship him, and learn how to serve God within the church as well as outside of it. Now I’ll be the first one to admit that not all churches are good places to be going to, but I do think that there are some really great churches that are great places to learn about God. No church on earth is going to be perfect, and anyone who believes that a church is, is just setting themselves up for failure.

The kingdom of god is eternity. we are invited by our lord after death. our placement in eternity depeends on how we have served and given ourselves to god. our lives on earth is very short lived compared to the forever in eternity. when we reach eternity we will be given a home for our soul that jesus has made perfectly and specifically for each individual. i believe in my church. it is a place to find jesus and the holy spirit. loving happy people who accept all as brothers and sisters. equal in the eyes of the lord.
