i too have my lip pierced.
god, its been so long lets see if i remember.
i think they tell you to wait six weeks. but if its comfortable and you can play with it no problem then go ahead and change it.
you can always take the jewelry to the shop you got it done at (or pretty much any shop, just make sure you tip) and they will change it for you.

what did you get pierced with? a ring?
why would you want something straight? i love the ring. although it is nice to have a stud every once in a while.

no, i dont understand the feeling like the inside is moving upward. im going to go ahead and assure you thats not whats happening.

like i said, if you really want something straight, just buy some jewelry and take it to the guy who pierced you, or better yet, buy it at his shop. they are usually good about changing jewelry for customers.

ok see that was easy. :) but isnt the tounge ring too long?

as far as the lip piercing goes i think its about 6 wks
with my belly button though i did it at about 2 wks

2-6 weeks it all depends on how well you deal with like scrapes and things like that ok

about six months to a year
