okay here’s the thing…

i have an egg drop project in tech ed or principle’s of engineering and i have to protect my egg from breaking and we’re dropping it from 3ft, 6ft, 9ft, and 12ft. we are given 5 sheets of paper and 1ft of masking tape. how do i keep it from breaking?

From what I recall, cones served as the best “containers”. because the cone has a long crumple zone to absorb impact.

You might also want to work on ways to turn the other 4 sheets of paper into a makeshift parachute :D

The previous reply is correct, with a controlled drop, in addition lossly crumple 1-2 sheets and fill the cone at higher drop levels as better absorbers.
