A couple of blessings I have received:

20 some years ago, crossing the 480 bridge I ran out of gas. Before I came to a stop someone pulled over to help me. Took me to a gas station, gave me a gallon of gas because I didn’t have cash on me and that station didn’t take cards, and took me back to my car. He spent nearly an hour of his time, his gas, and the gas he gave me. It felt like a tremendous help from a total stranger.

A few years back we were coming home from a vacation and stopped for gas and rest at the halfway point 250 miles from home. Getting into the car my (now ex)wife put her purse on top of the car. An hour down the road she went to get a cigarette and discovered no purse. No point going back. Two hours later the purse would have been destroyed or worse… We got home to hear the phone ringing. Our local police department had the purse and they were sending an officer to drop it off! Don’t know who did it how much out of their way they had to go, but of all the thing that could have happened to that purse this was the least expected. We had already conceeded the obvious loss and aggravation and before we had a chance to begin replacing it we had it back.

I challenge you to reply with your stories of anonymous good deeds. And if it was you who helped me thanks so much. You can’t imagine how blessed I have felt by your good deed.

If the purse had her identity, money, and thigns like that in it, I would’ve gone back, it’s either waste some gas but get your purse back or leave it there and lose some money (either way ou’d lose money it seems :P). You’re very lucky to have gotten it back, congrats!

I always seem to be the one doing the good deeds, rather than receiving them. But that’s okay with me.

I actually went to put my infant son in the car one day at a local k mart.. placeing my purse ontop of the car so that i could get his seat in the car.. because it was really icy cold out.. i hurried and got back into the car.. we finally got about 3/4 of the way home when i realized that my purse wasnt on my lap. talk about freaking out… we had just gotten our taxes back and i had about 5 grand in it…. we turned around and searched the parking lot.. inside the store… driving slow all the way home in the same path we took to go home in the first place.. by the next morning.. i received a call from the postoffice in which i lived .. (two towns over) stating that they had my purse… i was so excited but scared at the same time due to all that money that was in my purse… i made my way to the post office and the counter person asked for my i.d… i laughed because “duh” it was inside of my purse.. so i told them i would need the purse to show it to them…. as i dug through to find my i.d… there was the money… some greatful person put it inside of one of the blue mailboxes that the post office opens only… i was soooo greatful for this person.. however.. to this day.. i have no idea who the generous person was…

The goodness is in most of us; but sometimes the tempatation is too great. I thank God for the times when goodness wins.

a reward from our lord!! oh how i love the mountains, camping and the freedom of the outdoors. we planned on going to kananaskis, yes camping, my heart yearned to go back to my hometown where my entire family lives. about 900 km away. we could camp anywhere in the valley and invite everybody. my husband didnt want to so we went to kanaskis. when we arrived it was raining when we got up it was raining. generally thats never a big deal, we always make the best of it rain or shine. i was like a kid throwing a tantrum. i want to see my mommy!!!! finally my husband said lets pack up!! yee haw. we did the financing on the way and basically just had to pay for the gas. we had driven this road over a hundred times in the last 20 years and these days its 200 for gas one way. we went had an awesome time. two tires on the van blew and they would only sell us 4. that left us with 50 to get back home. we were very afraid, had no one to lean on, no credit cards, maybe a friend, pam, to meet us where ever we ended up. wed work that out later. leaving the campground we drove an unfamilliar road. unlike the treck there up and down the mountains, this road was flat no up no down. we were speaking of a miracle within 2 hours of our trip when our gas gage didnt move at all. we figured wed take this road as far as we could. it lead us all the way home. amazing amazing. the excitement and joy and praise the lord. we did stop at the city limits, used my sons bank card wich gave us 6 gas.

* I’m always the one who gives & never expect to get anything back but after I broke up with the guy I used to love I felt so alone & never speak up with anyone about my break up because as usual no one would care . Few day after my break up I recived a call from a friend who lives in a different country & he told me that he have heared about my break up & he wants to make sure that I’m ok .. he called me every hour to check on me he was amazing , I bet he spent a fortune on those calls but he told me that he didn’t care about the money , he only cares about helping a friend .

* I was saving a lot of money to study a diploma in movie making the fees was 20000 I was so excited about it & I haven’t been excited about anything for a long time . It took me a year to save the money & when I went to the acadmey to pay for the diploma I found out that they raised the fees to 30000 I felt so depressed , I felt that the world is going against me then a friend of mine called me just to say hi & he noticed that my voice was blue so he asked me what is wrong then I told him & he offered my 10000 ( the money he was saving for a vacation ) , I didn’t take the money he offered me but I felt so happy & amazed by his offer , I felt I’m not alone & I have the whole world .

I FEEL REALLY BLESSED I HAVE MY FRIENDS ….

Wow :)
Nothing like that has ever happened to me really.

Although I did see an old lady drop a £50 note..
And I chased after her to give her it back..
Whn i caught up with her she said i was so lovely for not keeping it that i could have it.
I said that it was too much and insisted she take it back so she gave me half instead :)

& thanks for what you said by the way.
It was so nice.
Made me feel tons better.
