what has changed for you since then? how’s life atthe moment? some days when i don’t give myself or body the break i need becasue i suffer from “must-erbation” LOL .. “like i must be good at this…” “i must do this or that” then i tend to lose the spark and become very self-critical etc. karate is certainly one of those sports that has alot of diipline involved and is hard to take as ‘just a work-out’ so the pressure is on as soon as you start getting more advanced! i’m wondering what sorts of thoughts are blocking you? do you like running? swimming? basketball? maybe try playing some other stuff or even do light training for yourself when you’re in lower periods..with music ;) that always does it for me.. where there is no pressure to perform - and then slowly you’ll get back into it! you been in it too long to be at risk for dropping out - but you may well need to give yourself a bit of a break and not fight it - also… seriously, chuck norris is not the way to go! LOL….

Do you have to become better at it, isn’t it worth your time just training and perhaps compete? Maybe your need to excell or competer has been decreased because you are doing better in other things now, or you are less focused on winning. Or could it be that the mix of people you train with has changed over the years and you simply miss some people you started out with?

i looked out last night and peered into the darkness of the night, i saw stars in the heavens and whisp of clouds roll by, i then pondered and looked and drew from the real scene and took solitude in the amazing fact that we are here. it humbled me and confirmed that all of this is not just by chance.

i know that i am called to do something, yet i fear it and go not forth, i see my duty and worry of failure of crossing a bridge not even stepped on. if “i” amd to succeed i most press and remove this doubt that clutters my mind.

i see it, the way and i must start to walk towards it so that i might see what awaits me there. it will be beutiful, my heart has told me so.

Plateau’s happen in every discipline, in my experience, and so far what I do is try to work through them. The next spike is usually coming up.
