yeah i notice a lot of stupid posts too, i just reply with stupid answers to humor myself. Its a win/win situation. Oh and I go to lalaland on a regular basis, its fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun.

Izzy you are not alone! I notice them too…. I seem to have an inbuilt filter that allows me to sort the wheat from the chaff…

There are a lot of stupid posts and then there are the ones that we might think are serious, but how do we really know? There are ‘regulars’ on here who post annonymously and make up the most outrageous problems to get attention….. and then there are the ones that are so stupid they are funny….

Understandable. I was here for a while, got burt out, left and came back….. I think that happens a lot. If you help one person out of 5 you are doing some good. And I wonder if the people who post annoymously (who are really first time visitors to the site) know how to reply annon…. I dunno. When you help, only help the ones that you can let go of….. like a catch and release type deal…. that’s what I have to do otherwise I worry about people too much. Helping here should not frustrate you, if it does, then you need to take a break. :-)

I’m with ya Izzy. Well, not much we can dom unfortunately except report them. It is kind of annoying. Hey if you want to chat, click on “chat” at the top of the page. Sheesh!

izzy i hear ya…i’m a newbee…lol..no milking boobies though :P i do get a bit disappointed when annon’s (only just realised it’s short for anonymous!) or others disappear when you been helping - i try to always reply - but then i wanna think if i’m bothered ‘helping’ i do it for my own sake k,inds too…so not expecting anything back… there are soooo many factors involved as to y ppl disappear..or don’t ‘hear’ or take in ur replies..a bit frustrating i know but then, hey i’d expect it.. as for topics, yeah few catch my attention that much really but then i’m a bore myself - and i’m currently a very stressed out student on the verge of a burn-out but have to get myself tyo finishing line..so all i would really post here i guess would be how scary, frightening it is for me at the moment…as i have serious self-doubts etc. suffering panic attacks and well been diagnosed as dysthimic, meaning i swing in and out of depression kinda :) can’t say i don’t feel personally targeted by your comment cuys just the other night i told u i was heading for la la land..lol.. as in going to bed…plus i only joined shorter than the last two weeks…lol.. but i know i been cool ;) always cool ;) so blah! :P

I’ve noticed that over the last week or so. People just wasting everyone else’s time!
It’s supposed to be a kind of serious site not a “I’m bored and I’m going to waste ten minutes of you life” site (although that’s not a bad title for a site).

What gets me the most though and I don’t know if anyone else notices this…
Is the fact that when people do put serious posts up, people take the mic and start calling it fake. Even though they have no idea if it is or not! Supposed to be taking it seriously and assume the person is telling the truth then go and help them not throw the whole thing back in there face and call them names and swear at them!

Nobody seems to have any respect for those that actually want/need help!

If people want to goof off then there’s a chat room on this site for that. Go waste time there!

I hate the posts the people to asking questions that make no sence, as in the way they ask it makes you confused as to what they are after.

Izzy, I agree with you on how annoying it can be. However, I must say there dumb comments have got me to roll my eyes and sigh resulting in me coming out of a dower mood. My biggest problem is filtering the good from the useless. I have 228 notices right now… Is there a way to filter them better?

Yea I agree with you. But I think somewhere that if it makes people happy to post stupid messages well then we should let them be happy. And I’m not saying this against your post because I know where you coming from. I just think that as long as they don’t «attack» you personnaly we should just let them live. Live and let live ! :P

I agree that some posts seem pointless but maybe they are just lonely people wanting a friend somewhere….. Who knows…. but I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. This website is HELP.COM so if they come here they may be here because they may just need someone to talk about nothing with… BUT I DO UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE SAYING….
