After four months of employment, I was terminated by the Pascua Yaqui Tribe in Tucson Arizona because of work related injury.

The injury did not heal properly because of poor medical treatment. One physician’s statement at Concentra indicated that it was a minor injury and my employers forced me to work while in tremendous pain. Now, I am actually in worst shape than when I started medical treatment. I have severe pain in my right leg and shoulder area almost daily. To make matter worse, I arrived back to my house in Albany Georgia to find that my house had been burglarized and vandalized in an expensive manner. Then, Allstate canceled my homeowners insurance policy. The people that broke into my house put papers and clothes all over the floor in most rooms. It appears that one or more persons stayed in the house for long periods of time engaging in various activities such as eating. I had televisions, stereos, car parts, household items, furniture, mechanic tools, carpenter tools, yard tools inculding a new lawn mower stolen. There was damaged done to a floor, windows, and worst of all parts of the air conditioner/heating system was ripped out and destroyed. Because of the severe pain and loss of tools, I am barely able to clean up and do minor repair work to the house. I am also unemployed due to this injury and I have no source of employment income or workers compensation income to support me or my daughter. If any one can help me financially, you may forward any donations to Removed personal info

Can you apply for unemployment? I know it’s not much but it may help a little.

You should probably try and contact a personal injury lawyer, see if you can have a free consultation and possibly they could work on contingency.

Can you file for unemployment, social security, or workers compensation, because the injury was work related? This would be regarding the company you were working for at the time. You also need to understand the statutes of limitation on your claim, through local jurisdiction.

If the insurance company canceled the policy after the burglary then you still have a claim, because at the time of the robbery you were insured.

Could you reach out for community assistance through churches or volunteer groups, they might be able to help you with fixing the vandalism to your property.

You can also try your luck at online charities, people may send donations. More information at http://www.laodn.org/

Hiring a lawyer for minor legal problems can be expensive, but there are websites like LawGuru, FindLaw and other places where you can get free legal advice. I found this website useful - http://www.uelp.org/freelegal.html
