The router should be correct, though, too.

From your modem you should have an ethernet cable running to the “Internet” slot on your router. Then, you can either have your PC connect to the wireless network, or run the second cable between one of the four ports on your router to the LAN port on the back of your computer…

You are also going to have to make sure that your DSL modem is set correctly, too.

you can easily google the terms.

now when it comes to the DHCP icon associated to the Internet-port, it means that the external ip-adress dosen´t involve DHCP. So if you Internet-port gives an adress of for example 123.456.67.899 then that is what the routers ip-adress is going to be, that is the external ip or WAN. But when you connect a computer to the router, the computer will get an internal ip-adress (DHCP). So the computer will have i.e. 192.168.0.23. And if you connect another computer you´ll get 192.168.0.24.

The usb-port should be for a printer or something else you want to share within your network.

There´s something not quiet right with the pic. The red line from the modems LAN-port should be going to the routers Internet-port. And the routers LAN-ports should only be associated with computers connected within the network.
