sleep help: Vampires are real. - Help.com

Vampires are real.

Last night I was sleeping and one woke me up…he was completely pale with dark beneath his eyes and he felt cold, freezing. He had sharp teeth and almost sunk them into my neck when I got up and I screamed and he jumped out of the window…I looked out and a black figure was flying beside the tree. Help me. I’m so scared. What if he comes back!?

Not that I want to squish your sense of creativity here, but are you sure this was not merely a very realistic nightmare? Still very frightening I’m sure.

There is so little evidence out there for human vampirism, that It would be very difficult to help you from the perspective that this was a real event.

HOW TO KEEP VAMPIRES AWAY: Frankenstein

* Put garlic all over the house.
* Have the sign of the cross ready.
* Keep all the lights on in your house.
* Threaten them with holy water.
* And if they don’t work stake them with wood.

Various methods have been used to protect against vampires. Driving a stake of ash or aspen wood through the heart during the daylight hours will kill one. Until 1823, when it was made illegal, it was common practice in England to drive a stake through the heart of suicides. In Romania, red-hot bars were often used. The vampire’s body would then be burned or reburied at a crossroads.

In Eastern Europe, vampires are believed to be afraid of garlic. Farm animals can be rubbed with garlic to protect them, while garlic often hangs from doors and windows to keep vampires out. Anyone who does not like garlic can be suspected of being a vampire.

Thorns of wild roses will also keep vampires away. Because vampires are compulsive counters, poppy seeds are often tossed around cemeteries, so that when the vampire awakes, he will spend the night counting and be forced to return to the grave before dawn.

Vampires dislike mirrors and silver, so silver crosses or icons were frequently displayed in houses for protection.

you mean “vampyres”

we use the term “vampire,” to refer to imaginary mythical creatures who mainly inhabit ancient religious myths, horror movies and other works of imaginative fiction. They are generally portrayed as once dead, reanimated, blood-sucking human corpses. They are very scary individuals. Fortunately, they don’t exist in reality.

Their existence and attributes are largely based on ancient religious myth, We use the term “vampyres” to refer to a real phenomenon involving real people. This notation is fairly commonly used in the vampyre community, but its use is far from a consensus.

Rare conditions & activities that may have contributed to vampyres

Hematolagnia: A small minority of people have a condition called hematolagnia — popularly called a blood fetish. They are sexually aroused by drinking human blood.

Porphyria: This is another rare disorder. It causes people to have a adverse reaction to strong light. They often have to avoid sunlight and only come out at night.

Renfield’s Syndrome: This is a disorder first described by Richard Noll. He suggested that a drive to consume human blood originates with a childhood injury and develops over time. The American Psychiatric Association does not recognize this as a valid disorder.

Satanic Ritual Abuse: Gothic Satanism was invented by the Christian church in the 15th century CE. They taught that that Satan worship existed, was widespread, and was a massive threat to the established order. These beliefs gave the Catholic church legal and moral justification to conduct Witch burnings. Protestant countries also held witch hunts, but hung the unfortunate victims. Some of the practices that were attributed to Witches — drinking the blood of unbaptized infants, devouring infants’ bodies, converting them into soup, baking them in an oven, or converting their bones into ritual instruments may have contributed to the vampire panic.

Lifestyle vampires: Those who regard themselves as actual vampyres are often in a state of tension with others whom they describe as “lifestyle vampires.” “Lifestylers” are viewed as individuals and groups who merely pretend to be vampyres and who have none of the spiritual, psychical, and physical experiences of real vampyres. “Lifestylers” are seen as attracting too much public attention to vampyrism. They also consume some of the supply of human blood which is always scarce

Yes, maybe lilies is right after all. What if he didn’t brush his teeth, his bite may be infectuous.

Honestly, only a crappy Vampyre needs a window for getting away, a better one would just go through the wall. And why running away at all?

Hrm… I may have been picky when getting girls in bed, because those I have been with have been good looking also when waking up… Is there anything special with you, scaring even a Vampyre away?

Hrm… when I think of it, you did not state that you are a girl. Am I just prejudiced?

Hehe, fragged. What info?
My expectations on a professional vampyre, or that I’ve been with more than one girl (I married two of them), or that I am prejudiced?

The poster may be serious, but then I believe that it is still a nightmare. Or if it is real, then that it is a police matter. Either way I would not care if the vampire got killed by a stake. But it is like discussing where to stab a tiger with a knife when you fight it. It is not likely that you get a chance to stab it at all, so you better stay away from it.

That is, if in fact this wasnt a nightmare.. ive had real ones where i could swear it was really happening.

I too am a vampire, but it seems as if the vampire you saw was a new born, as I call it. It seems as if you are being hunted by multiple vampires, or he/she is trying to protect you from harm of werewolves, or gargoyles. either way, he was tempted to kill you, even through the 2,000 years I have lived, I have not seen another vampire like him ( that I recall ). Anyway, I’m busy with someone now, maybe my brother can help you with your problems

oh, and if you are ever bitten, uh how do I put this? It really sucks
