With the way photography is going……. get good at photo shop!!!!
Honestly. Then get a good digital camera. 5 MP should be good to start. Get an SLR if you have the money!!

lol. Yes! Live your dream! It’s more worth it than anything you can imagine. You won’t find much in the way of classes at your age, but the best thing to do is get a camera (an old one, that uses film and has adjustable exposure times and focal lengths). Then play with it. Take as many pictures as you can in different places, with different lights. Terrible pictures, where the shutter speed was too long and the exposure was blurry and the light was coming from the wrong place. Pretty soon, you know what makes photos do the things they do, and you can make your photos do whatever you want them to.

I disagree digital is everything, learn that medium or you will start off on the wrong foot. I good SLR will allow you to do the same thing as an old film, BUT you do not have to burn $$$ on film and developing!!

The same principles that apply to analog photography apply to digital photography, and while digital offers greater portability and storage, a film photo cannot become pixelated, and captures portions of the spectrum not covered by digital cameras. I won’t argue the cost issue, but the extra skills learned may well be worth it.
