Love help: I hear women want a guy that’s manly and confident. - Help.com

I hear women want a guy that’s manly and confident.

I am neither of those things, what else can I do/be/whatever to get women to want me? What do you women like?

I have never been in a relationship and I’m getting desperate and lonely here not to sound lame or anything.

This will sound very corny and cheesy but, just be yourself, you want to find a woman for you then you have to be you, if you act different or change who you are then that person wil be wrong for you and will never work. You will find someone when you least expect it and most likely when you are not looking for someone. Being yourslef means that the person you find will want you for who you are and I think that is worth the wait.

not every woman wants a manly man. a little vulnerability is always a good thing, plus it makes us ladies feel like you are that much more into us to be that open.

Well, it depends on the woman. In fact, I think most like to see at least a little vulnerability—it makes us feel more comfortable around guys that aren’t incredibly macho-tough all the time.

And yes, I had to use the term “macho-tough”. I love it. XD

I have not had women throwing themselves at me ever, but I have had a few women really respect me, and trust me. I am not macho or super-confident (except when I get into debater mode), but occasionally I have a very good relationship with someone who really appreciates my honesty, sincerity, caring, and my respect. Macho and confident are good for getting some interest, but they don’t maintain a relationship.
