It’s funny how experience is something you need up untill you actually have it

After changing careers I went on 20-25 interviews before I found mine, its hard but stick with it and look at each interview as pratice for real one.

Ouch, im sorry. Have you tried getting an internship or even vonunteering (anything even remoting close to your chosen career counts)? One great reference makes all the difference.

Seems like I see a ton of jobs for medical receptionist and nursing assistant through clinics and HMOs.That may not be what your looking for though. Do you live near enough to a city ? I had to leave my lil town and go to the big city (lol) it takes me an hour to get to work each day

Location, Location, Location. Generally if you are in a community where they have a school, say a Community College teaching phlebotomy, Then it is those with the most experience in demand. In this manner you need to find a facility that is furthest away from the schools e.g. Leadville Colorado, Altitude 10,250 feet above sea level or Mesquite NV, 90 miles North-Northeast of Las Vegas. These are for example only and are not indicative of an opening. Look for, again an example, facilities with a Medical Examiner on premises, Rural M.E.’s or Coroner’s for example or isolated Regional Medical Centers …

Are you certified? if you are you should have 100 veinipunctures and your legth in school should apply towards experience. I live in southern louisiana and aspt certification is mostly reconized in this area. My students have to have 100 veinipunctures and they are in school for a good 4-6mths depending on what there fields are and that is applied as experience
