if they wanted to help they would just donate to your paypal account

it all depends on how they are giving you the money… if it is cash then so long as it is not counterfit, it should be legit… however I would see about getting something in writing, before taking the money…

If they try and give it to you in cheque ormoney order it is probably a scam… once you have the cheque/money order you are responsable for it, and then the next thing that you know you are in court paying out even more…

However as nee770 stated, it is mostlikely a scam.

I know when you are in a desperate situation you want it all to be true and THERE are some people out there that are serious and want to help you but my best friend just went through this they got her social and ended up really making a big mess for her Thes may be true but PLEASE tread carefully ..some people can make a bad situation so much worse i’m only trying to help

Get as much info on them as you can maybe you should ask for their phone number Good luck to you I hope its true for your sake

Sounds scam to me.

If it’s a legit organization they should not hesitate to give you their officer’s name, organization name, address and phone number. Then you can go on line and GOOGLE for any information on the organization. You can check with their local city offices to see if they actually exist. Also take the phone number and do a reverse lookup to verify name and address.

its not a scam just make sure you keep your doors locked because they could come to your house and you should save all the calls they made to you just in case they want to sue you they probably wont but i know its not a scam

I got the same email today and have never trusted emails that were all in bold. IN fact I lure these jerks in since I’m a single mom with a disabled 6 year old, I take there checks,take them to the bank and have the bank clear the situation up. If the check is good the bank will tell you, I take the check to the bank it was written on or call the bank. After that, I send it to the FBI along with the email. I doubt its real, all real churches are on the internet.

I am surprised that a pastor would write that badly of a message. Even if it is only an email message, it is hard to believe a position that requires a collage degree and more to become a pastor doesn’t know how to use MS Word…

I recommend that if you have enough money you should buy Norton Internet Security 2007, as it has a scanner on it scans every webpage and e-mail for phising scams. Also, if I was you I would accept the money but I would first print off all the e-mails they sent me, I would then log onto my paypal account and print off all the transactions before and after they sent you the money, I would also ask them for a confirmation e-mail stating that they put it in, and print this off as well, all this is just a safety precaution because if it is a scam then you have evidence to back it up. Do not give off your telephone number or any other information that they could use to steal your identity, tell them that if they wanted to contact you they should contact you via your e-mail.

YES!!It’s a scam,I am also trying for a loan dont give them any info,especially ss# or upfront money,and if the interest rate is below 10% its not real.Report them to the FTC(federal trade commission)They’re trying to bilk you out of money,they screw people all of the time,be careful.

I am in need of money to save my house from being auctioned and it is so sad how many people are trying to scam me. I have received letters like the ones above and all I tell them is the only way I can accept money is through my paypal. Why do people try to hurt those who are already are hurting.
