Honestly, there are not many guaranteed honest ways to make that much money that fast that are also honest. As Dan, above, has stated: selling things would be a great way to go. I don’t know what you need the money for or how fast exactly (it would certainly make it easier to help you with this problem if you would point that out) but selling things like a vehicle, trading cards, or other valuables would help. HOWEVER, you should also remember that if you should be careful selling things that you need to get by. (For example, don’t sell your car unless what you are buying is absolutely important.)
As far as I can tell, there are three possibilities for which you would need money. Repaying a debt, buying something, or paying something like a bill or service.
Whatever the case may be, you need to think of how much you actually need whatever this. I could be sounding completely stupid right now because it could be something like an operation that will save someone’s life, which would be VERY important - whatever it is, you need to consider how important it really is.
In addition to not defining what you need it for, however, you’ve failed to include HOW fast you need the money. 2 hours? 2 months? These two things are immensely different.
If it IS something really important, like someone’s life depends on it, ask friends for money, sell your car… anything. I would also suggest investing in stocks, however, stocks are definitely not guaranteed returns, and they could take anywhere from a few weeks to years to pay you back.
If someone is hitting you up to get money you owe them (i.e. mortgage, loan, mob relations) you CAN call the business in question and tell them you will not be able to make the due date. Generally, businesses will provide an extension for you to make the payment. If your current earning capacity does not allow you to make enough to make the scheduled/regular payments, you can also call up whoever is concerned and discuss a new payment plan with them.
Finally, if it REALLY is super important, you can probably use your house as collateral by refinancing. If you have a house that is. Also, if you have a 401(k), or a nest egg, if it is actually a life/death situation, you can dip into those as well.
Other than what I’ve mentioned, I really cannot see a way that you could pool that much money together “fast” - you really need to be saving up and all that for whatever it is. And if it is NOT important, i.e. you and no one else needs it - you just want it, save up for it.
In summary, here are the options I can think of for you (But ONLY if it is important):
- Save up
- Use your nest egg
- Use your 401(k)
- Sell your car
- Sell other things of great value
- Ask for an extension if this is a payment deadline
- Discuss a new payment plan with those concerned if your current income level can’t make it.
- Refinance your house
In all honesty, however, there is not a way to make that much money “fast” without breaking laws or risking what you’ve already got. If what you need the money for is not important, forget about it.
