What is keeping you from making a little play money?

My advice is to get a job AWAY from home! Even if you only make enough money to pay for your childcare expenses, it may be worth it. When I was a stay-home mom, I often felt tired and grouchy. No one appreciated my work, and my husband would come home and moan about how lucky I was to “just stay home all the time and not have to do anything.” I was a university teacher before I had kids. I went back to work at a community college, teaching just 2 or 3 classes per semseter. I only made enough money to pay for childcare, a house cleaner, and the costs for the clothes and transportation I needed to work, but I always felt it was worth it. It gave both the kids and me a much-needed little break from each other, it forced me to get cleaned up and nicely dressed, I got to communicate with other adults, and it made my husband shut up about my oh-so-glorious life at home. Maybe if you think about what your interests are, you can start searching for a part-time job. Good luck! I truly hope things work out well for you.

Dearest Very Unhappy,

I know the feeling. The difference was, i was always at work. Thats all I did. Thats all i was. I was work, I was a paycheck. Soon, I found that I was happier, at work!

I don’t feel this is about money! Feels like it’s more about, Who am I?

Does this resonate? Let me know if I can help!
In Light love and peace
Robert

have you ever had a day to yourself?? even if you just take a couple of hours to go to the store to just look around… it seems as though you have lost yourself… causing fricktion…. i too was married for ten years.. not only did i care for my three kids.. i also did 60 hours a week of daycare.. watching 8 other children…. everyday… cleaning the house… cooking dinner.. doing the laundry.. JUST NEVER HAVING “me” time.. maybe if you just take one day a week, have your husband watch the kids.. and make time for yourself.. you wouldnt feel like you do…
