I’ve been having terrible stomach pains for quite some

time now, i dont know if it is stress or my diet, but my diet, my diet is not terrible, but after all i am a college student.
Any advice that could be a cheap, easy way of making it stop w/o me spending too much money, or changing my lifestyle too much?

My niece has acid reflux or GERD.

I had something similar in college. I had to cut back on coffee, chocolate and caffeine in addition to finding ways to relax and reduce my levels of stress. Drinking water daily is great and getting a good night’s sleep can help.

Do have it checked into by a doctor though.

Could be a few things: Irritable bowel syndrome, often associated with stress and requiring a change in eating habits. No more junk-food! Could be an ulcer, for which, believe it or not, cayenne pepper capsules help or otherwise calcium-carbonate lozenges. Otherise consult a practitioner. They may need to do a gastroscope. Also could be hiatus hernia which causes acid-reflux or GORD (Gastro-oesophageal Reflux disorder). Taking a teaspoon bicarb in a glass of good water with a table-spoon of apple-cider vinegar also regulates the acidity. Check out your intake of calcium-magnesium too. This balances the bodys acidity, and finally, believe it or not, lemons also reduce acidity. Always check your health out with a practitioner though.
All the best.

Many colleges have a health clinic that is covered under the tuition/fees. Whether you can use that, or even if you have to go to an ER (if you have no way to pay), you should see a doctor and describe your diet, any medications/supplements, and all symptoms. If it is something serious such as an ulcer or acid reflux, it can get worse without treatment and cause further complications (such as esophageal cancer or a bleeding ulcer, which can be fatal). Many times an ulcer can be cured with antibiotics, as 80% are caused by H. pylori.

do you have regular bowel movements? Constipation can be caused from dehydration or irregular eating patterns and causes the worst stomach pains. If so, drink more water and get lots of fiber.
