Ashout is up in the right corner of this page. It allows ppl (people) to send quick messages to one another away from the Help postings. Please don’t be offended by anyone who isn’t sensitive to the pain others go through in a tragedy like yours. It’s only because there have been ppl who come on here who are lazy and want a hand-out. Most are probably scams too. But, I can see by the size of your letter and the contents that you are being honest and are desperate for help, Robin.

Still, if I was financially able to give anyone a lot of money right now to help them, I would want to be on a phone with them and would want proof of their circumstances. Only because there are too many scammers comin on sites like this to get a quick buck to support their drug abuse and alcoholism.

So don’t be offended if your ont received well by some people. This site is more of a place where ppl come to ask questions and give advice or share ideas.
I hope those charity sites can be helpful to you. Many ppl use them, so make sure you place your whole story on there for donors to see. Maybe even provide a phone number or email address for them to contact you directly on those sites.

Most of them use Paypal for ppl to send and receive donations.

I can’t promise it will work, but it’s worth a try at least.

Sorry. I was offline for several hours. I will communicate with you by email from now on and I’ve written down your number. Maybe others on here who have a giving heart might try to call you and see what they can do for you as well. You never know. I’m presently limited myself right now financially. This always seems to happen close to Christmas time.

I really can’t afford at this time to call people long distance out of my country so I prefer to communicate by email for now if that’s alright. However, I will pass your phone number along to someone I think will be able to help you in this situation. I’m glad that you are willing to provide proof as this will be needed probably. We have to separate the scammers from the honest people out there.

Also . . . according to the rules here at Help.com, only those 13 and up can be on here. I think you said earlier that your son had made a post and that he’s 12 yrs old. I understand that he’s trying to reach out for help too and get some answers from people regarding a job at Disney, but please be advised that this site is strictly meant for ages 13+ . Since you mentioned that he’s 12yrs old, Help.com will now be aware of it and they cannot knowingly allow anyone under 13 to be using Help.com

One last thing . . .
There are over 90 million people that make up the USA. There are also millionaires and even some billionaires in this great country. Those guys/gals can live off just the interest that accumulates every month. Would be nice if they gave some of that interest to those who are struggling due to hurricanes, fires, tornadoes and mass floods.

If EVERYONE across the land was willing to give up just $5.00 or $10.00 of their own money, once a month, you multiply that by the population, and have all the money sent to a special fund for victims of Hurricane Katrina and also those thousands of people in California right now without a home due to forest fires. If everyone was willing to give at least that amount of money (and the rich people give at least a $million or more. lol) each month, there would be plenty of funds pouring in every month to help people like yourself. If everyone gave just a $10 GIFT per month of their own spending money (which is usually spent on coffee, junk food and other pleasures) then there would be over $900 Million dollars per month pouring into an emergency fund and then distributed amongst you families to help you. All in gifts. But sadly this is not the case.

There is ALOT of money out there. None of those people and their children should have to be still stuck today. There is so much selfishness and many “rich” and so called “famous” people and self-made millionaires flaunting their riches, who can give up some of their money to help more than they do. Princess Diana was very popular and yet she was generous and helped needy people around the world. She wasn’t selfish like many people today are. Too bad she’s no longer around.

If only 90 million people would just be willing to reach out with at least $5 or $10, none of these families like yourself would be stuck like this. There are still hurricane survivors who are struggling to get their lives back together and now there are going to be people in California (who have lost their homes and stuff from wild fires) reaching out for help in the coming weeks and months. If 90 million people gave imperishable food items and clothing to these victims, that would even help.

The problem is that most people don’t want to get involved and say that it’s not their problem or they think that someone else will look after it. Now if most people think that way, then no wonder nothing is getting accomplished.

Anyway Robin, I sent you an email and will keep in touch with you and your family and see what I can do for you.

Make sure you sign up with those charity sites I gave you and hopefully there will be some kind people who will reach out. Place your phone number on those charity sites so that donors can actually talk to you personally.
