dont you hate it when you are trying to call someone

about a house/apartment or a job, and there is only one person that you can speak to, but they are never there.

AS I’m sure you can tell I’m looking for both a job and an apartment. in the paper I found a person that is looking for someone for a job, and they have an apartment for rent. however every time I call he’s not there and I’m to get a cal back (which never comes) or when I call back he is still not there.

grrrrrr

sorry I just needed to vent.

the lady at reseption says that they are still looking for someone, he’s just not been at the store… I started calling yesterday morning… he had gone out, but was expected back later in the day… I was suppossed to get a call back… he did not call back, when I called back to the store the reseptionist stated that he was not comming back if he had not been back to the store, then she said that he would defenetly be back today from 10am-5pm EST when I called he was not there until 11…

grrrrrrrr

So its only been a day and a half? That’s not to bad, just give it time.

I would suggest that you stop calling, its always good to show you are interested, but you also don’t want to make your self look pushy.

It sounds like this guy is either lazy or busy. And you know what? He probably isn’t returning other people’s calls, either. If you want this job/apartment, be agressive and take it to the next level…show up on his doorstep with resume/application in hand. Show that you really want the job!

Sorry…I know you were just venting, but I had say that!

Haha, i like oldfart’s suggestion! But the truth is many people out there just dont know about customer-service. (And those that work in customer-service are some-times the biggest culprits!) But the fact is, it is just not right and bad etiquette. Cant you go to the office and just sit until he arrives? Otherwise, maybe its a sign of the type of person he is, and if he treats you like this now, can you imagine working for him or being his tennant? Just a thought. Give it one last bash and then move on….(Just remember one day never to do the same to others!)

Cheers and all the best. You are sure to get something soon…

But Oldfart I must say that I do enjoy your coment. and I suppost that would get the job done. lol
