I got fired from wal mart today.
I dunno what to do.
I loved my job.
When I was fired they told me I wouldn’t be able to get hired again, I was
really upset at the time so I didn’t ask any questions.
Is there any way for me to get my old job back???
I know it was stupid but I kept a gift card that a woman left there. I
regretted it as soon as I done it. I don’t know what to do. Please help.

I would write a letter of apology to both your employer and the lady whose gift card you took.
I think it’s highly unlikly that you will get your job back. They need people they can trust and unfortunately you have burned that bridge with them. I would start looking for something else.
Just learned your lessons and move on. Theres is a lot better job out there. The fact that you regretted it, means your a nice person after all. I wish I was your BOSS, because you will definitely get your back ASAP. AS for your JOB, I dont think you will get it back. TRUST is a MUST, and they cant trust you.
dude seriously now, we’re talking about wal-mart here, they treat there employees like crap. i dunno which magical wal-mart you worked at but the one i worked drove me up the wall. you can do a lot better than wally world trust me, don’t go begging back to them, look at this as a blessing.
Wal-Mart? What made you work there? Nobody should be FIRED because they kept a giftcard for something. Where do you life? What alternative working oppurtunities are there? I’d try looking for other unskilled labour posts, maybe at a grocery store or movie rental place or something, but probably not corrupt superstores like Wal-Mart.
thats the problem…
there is no other unskilled labor
i was going to go to school to be able to be a nurse, but with out a job, i wont be able to do anything.
Thanks for the answers
actually my wal-mart wanted me to quit on my own will so they didn’t have to pay me unemployment, they hate to have to fire you. i wish i would’ve gotten fired now.
personally i agree with them ,i wouldn’t want an employee who is not honest with me or my company…the next job i hope for your sake come clean….
Write down what you liked about your job and look for a job
with those qualities.
Try to focus on what you can do right now.
And allow yourself to be sad. It’s OK.
my brother just got hired at walmart about 5 months ago.. he loved his job.. however.. he caught the flu.. his doctor pulled him out of work for 5 days… he gave his supervisor the dr’s note.. and continued to call the 800 number every day to call in sick… they fired him for no call no show… HE HAD A DR’S NOTE… wtf is with these people… i agree.. walmart is a place in which they dont care for their employees.. because they ARE so replaceable.. my brother was a good, hard worker.. but.. as for your case.. you stole… a job that trusts you to handle their money… isnt going to want to put their trust back into you after this..

is that why you were fired? because you kept the giftcard? that is very lame. I’m sorry you loved your job, but just apply for a job at a similar store. More variety spices life up : )
I would like to say they would re hire you, but you know that’s not going to happen.
You now have to move on with your life. Start applying for new jobs, the old saying when one door closes another one opens. I think you could be going to find your even better job out there, this could be the divine intervention that will show you a better path to take….it always happens like that….let me know how you get on oneday.
i believe that too angeldonate.. and i also believe that the little stunt of stealing the card will make a positive reflection in his life and make him realize not to do it again.. (hopefully)..
if it makes you feel any better im in the same situation as you i had a great job with my fiancee it made it so easy to have a job together and i loved my job but i just got fired 4 days ago… and the funny thing is it wasnt my fault i was buying flowers for my mom went through my friends line who decided to ring them up for only $2.00 we have store charge cards so she swiped it i signed a peice of paper not knowing they found out and we both got fired… i loved that job was there every day never called in sick i was there until i was 8 1/2 mouths pregnant had my baby took a two week maternity leave and was back to work again i was a hard worker..but you know what in life they say things happen for a reason maybe this job wasnt for me and maybe walmart wasnt for you all you can do is look forward in life and make the best there are soooo many jobs out there thats what i keep telling myself to…best of luck to you and i hope you find a better job.
I wanted to know something..I trained for a few days at Walmart, then after working for a week, I had to leave and fly back home because of the illness of my husband. I was only going to work for the Christmas season. Now, I want to know if I go back to South Dakota, will they hire me if I reapply. I worked in Oklahoma, and when I was trained, I did well as a cashier. But, I had to leave for an emergency.
Can’t hurt to try. Good luck.
You should have given the card to a manager or customer service rep. either way you look at it, it’s theft by taking what does not belong to you. your best bet is to count your loss, learn from it and move on to something bigger and better. who knows, maybe it just wasn’t meant to be. next time you will be prepared….
how come i cant have a monkey?
were you charged with stealing?
You can get your job back after 60 days, i currently just got fired for no call no show, they said after 60 days i can re apply if i want to. However, im not going to cause WALMART BLOWS!!
