Well internet, I’m the poster boy for procrastination.
I have a somewhat large project due tomorrow. Now try to be open minded… The project is to create a calendar, we can theme it however we want, use different denominations of time, anything as long as it makes sense. I decided to base my calendar on American History/American Culture/American values. I have already created most of the structure for it, but now my problem is that I can’t for the life of me find any image the represents what I want. In short I need pictures as a back round for my month names on the calendar. It would be great if they were symbolic or profound, but any help is welcome at this point. My months breakdown like this:
“Independence” I already have a picture for, an American flag.
*Fortitude* As with some other months, it has no theme, and can be switched out of the calendar if a suitable picture for another month is found. These months will be marked with stars.
“Justice” I have found a picture for, but it is somewhat weak. Other ones are encouraged.
“Expression” Is the month where citizens are encouraged to express themselves, their opinions, and what they stand for. Lots of rallies on various issues would be held everywhere. People may also participate in public debates with figures in the government, submit their own articles for printing in newspapers, or even appear on television on talk shows or the news.
*Harmony*
“Grace” Is a month long celebration of the arts. People will express themselves through various art forms such as painting, literature, poetry, dance, cooking, music, sculpting, animation, and so on. Concerts, galas, recitals, and festivals will go on all over the country. Contests and competitions will go on from the school to national level. People are encouraged to celebrate their creativity and the creativity of America.
*Integrity*
“Equality” is the month celebrating the diversity of people in America. People from different cultures, races, and ethnicities will gather in festivals where they will share their heritage. Each week will have a different race as its theme. I have found an image for this, it is a picture of four hands interlocking to become strong.
“Innovation or Ingenuity (you can help me choose)” Celebrates America’s knack for invention, and creative thinking. Invention competitions will be held at the school level mostly, with a few prestigious national level ones anyone can participate in.
*Honesty*
“Action” is the month of getting America off its fat lazy ***. People are encouraged to do various forms of physical activity, from yoga, to martial arts, to football. People may form their own teams and participate in tournaments on various levels. Sports clinics may be held for the newcomers to the sport to learn, and exhibitions by professionals will take place.
“Guardian” is themed on America’s military history, with each week being themed after a different theater of combat, such as Conflicts with Communism, and the World Wars. I have a couple of images in mind, but different ones are welcome.
What I need are images that reflect the theme of my months, or just the names of them. So I beseech you oh mighty Internet! Please help me. I am royally screwed. But yeah, thanks for reading this.
