English homework related - Please, I desperately need help!

Okay, so my essay was due friggin’ TODAY, and I didn’t hand it in because I didn’t friggin’ know what to do.
I’m supposed to write an essay about how society has changed. The teacher said to go look up the french revolution and the English Civil War and stuff…

Please, I’ve looked it all up, and I still don’t understand. It’s so **** confusing.

Anyone know a site that’s pretty straight forward and tells me about the changes in society…?
About gangs, religion, sexuality and all that?

ALSO… what would be really helpful is if you knew something. Please fill free to write down what you know about the changes in society. I would really help me.

THANK YOU!

look up
the industrial revolution
that was basically just how the industry changed with inventions being made to better the economy, but workers were laid off, so then more jobs were created and then more inventions were made and it keeps going around in circles.

There are many opinions on what the term globalisation means. Macionis and Plummer says that the exact ‘meaning of globalization is far from clear‘. They call it a ‘buzz word’. David Held defines it ‘as the widening, deepening and speeding up of worldwide interconnectedness life, from the culture to the criminal, the financial to the spiritual’. This shows one that globalization isn’t simply economical, it or about multinational companies like Nike or Mac Donalls, but about people.
In my opinion , taking everything into consideration in the sense of both economics and people, it means the world becoming a global community. I believe that one can see globalisation in the fact the when one turns on the news one can see what is happening in another part of the world at the same time the people of that country can see it. September the 11th is a perfect example of this. The internet is another of media that helps create this global community. But one can see globalisation in everything one does. From what one talks about, to who one talks with, migrants to friends on the net alike. And also to what one eats in the way of food miles to what one wears and were in the world them cloths are made.
