Can a foreigner buy a car in the US?

I’m from Holland and me and my fiancee+daughter are moving to Central America within the next 5 months.
Since we have two dogs that we want to bring, we decided to fly to the US and buy a car there and drive it to where we need to go.
Does anyone know if this is possible???

well if you have your papers ligally yes you can.But you have to have your license. that is a must after 6months in the country with your outside license in otherwords your holland license you have to get the license. but i’d say get the book asap so you can study to get a license.but i don’t think you can buy one without credit. so it would have to be cash at an auction.
