McAfee Internet Security 8.0

Attempts to install McAfee Internet Security were a nightmare. Not only would the Privacy feature not load, a second attempt stopped everything from reloading. Attempts to uninstall it (so I could go back to using Norton’s program) failed.  It finally took installing Norton System Works and deleting McAfee’s files through the “wipe all” section to rid of it.  However, it still sits in the msconfig file (I simply deactivated it)  Anyone else had problems with McAfee?

For the past year or so, I have been annoyed by a
‘pop up” ad for a “critical security update” for PRIVACY SERVICE. “To ensure your privacy you must register with McAfee to obtain the latest privacy services updates. The choices are :”register now” or”continue what I was doing” No matter which choice is made, the damn thing reappears next time the CPU is activated. You may imagine what kind of action I have gotten by complaining (zilch). I would be happy to cancel all relationship with McAfee, but I would still have their pop-up.

i think my mcafee is interfering with my internet conection–
i do not want to delete mcafee, but want turn i off & turn it on to use it–
how do i do this??????????????

bougth a gateway computer with mcafee on it.

Yes I have your plan that I had brougt at walmark and there is a (email removed) from Trojan and I am fully up and poctect so ya need to fine out what the hell is going on
