What helped me get over a crush that I had for a long
time was realizing that I *could* love him, that it was okay to love him, maybe not in such a romantic way, but an affectionate way. What was hard for me was that I knew we had no chance of a relationship, but love is not like a light switch that you can turn on and off. I don’t know if this would help anyone, but thinking this way helped me. Also realizing that a crush isn’t the end of the world and it’s more important to have fun than have a boyfriend. Really, just try to have fun and don’t worry about it, if you can.
