You aren’t specific. Nothing can make you TV a HD(digital), however if you have a HD TV that doesn’t have an internal digital turner then freeview will work as well most local digital boxes.

Digital is only good with HD television too, if you have a regular TV nothing can make it digital if it is a line screen and not a pixel screen.

Yeah our Free TV is leaving soon in America too. It’s all going to be cable/digital. I don’t remember the date…in a couple years I think.

I used to sell digital upgrades over the phone to people in the U.S. The term “freeview” is new to me though. The way I recall, as long as your t.v. has the three inputs, the red yellow and white (I forget what they’re called), you can connect a digital box and watch digital t.v.

you have to have comcast or time warner for your tv to work when digital transition comes

No, at some point in time it is legislated that all television transmissions in the USA will be digital. That means you will get it with whatever company you have. Antenna transmissions will be switched to digital too, but you can decode those just the same.
