can somebody give e few good reasons why it IS better to watch a movie in a movie theatre than waiting for the original dvd to come out.

Or maybe movie theatres are usless these days??

dvds control our nation. the loss of wonder in move theatres is terribly depressing.

Movie theatres are NOT useless. That’s a ridiculous assertion.

When you go to the theatre, you get out of your house, you are able to experience the movie in a large group setting which helps with comedy and with suspense and tension; the large screen and 7.1 sound systems allowing you to see and hear everything mixed and mastered as the directors want you to experience it…the big screen is the final part of the artwork that is film.

I don’t think it was an assertion…more of a question.

I agree with your answer though. When we go to the movies we pay for the experience. Its like going out to dinner. We’re essentially paying to experience a restaurant…the atmosphere, the staff, the food, the other diners, etc, etc. Same with a movie theatre. Group experience, big screen (larger than life is an understatement), surround sound, etc, etc. Unfortunately, with companies like Netflix, I believe that the popularity of movie theater’s have significantly decreased in the last 5-10 years. Plus the prices are OUTRAGEOUS these days.
