Single Mom needs help

Hi everyone. I am a single parent of a special needs child. We have recently had a series of events occur that have made our financial situation worse. I am having trouble getting assistance for our needs because I am an independent contractor. All of the organizations I’ve contacted either require that I have no income at all or be employed full time with a company. I had to start working from home because of my son’s needs. He has Prader Willi Syndrome- a rare genetic disorder that causes constant hunger, mental retardation, and excessive weight gain unless the diet is monitored very closely. We are currently facing eviction, and car repossession. I am seeking whatever financial blessing anyone can provide to help us.

You probaly will not get any direct finical help from this site. You should go to your local job service and register then get a list of stenogipher jobs that need to be filled that you can work form home, that way you can make some income and watch your child at the same time. Hope this helps :-)

go to the salvation army in your area they may be able to help you with your current crisis plus refer you to organizations that can help you with what other needs you may have /also try the cathlic charities in your area they should be in your phone book they sometimes help when its is medical and health related go from there and then start phoning the other churches that are in your phone book to see if they will help this will take some work but at this point you have no choice

Hello. I am a single struggling mother of 3 very great girls and one of them is disabled. Our income right now is very low. We get 583.00 a month for one of my girls for disability and all of us are in school. . Can your organization help us out with financial help to purchase groceries and my lot rent which is 160.00 and we are behind. Also our phone is 2 months due. I need help PLEASE. I am barely hanging on and feel so down and depressed. My husband left us a few months ago and I am not working and can not find a job here where I live. We really need help.. My girls so deserve a break, they have been through a lot in their young lives and they (we all) suffer pretty severely just getting through day to day. Our lives at substantially lacking much of what many do have but often take for granted so easily. At times I dont even have a couple of dollars for gas much less food for us all. Our food stamps never last us and right now we need food really bad. Please can your organization help? We live in such a small area, (Elkin), I believe that that is one of the biggest reasons that I can’t find any job. I have however has searched all the areas also that surround me. Here in this immediate area there is just so very much competition and very few decent paying jobs. My luck here in Elkin is/has been zilch. Even if I were lucky enough to land a decent job here, the pay is/would be very low. Right now, my girls and I are living on a mere 583.00 a month which is my 14 year old disabled daughter’s SSI check. We do also get food stamps but they never last all month. The father of my children pays his court ordered child support of 300.00 so very sporadically and lately there has been none He sometimes will stop paying it for months at a time. When I was in school and up until May of this year, we basically also were living off of the student loans in which I was receiving from Gardner Webb. Now that school is finished I no longer get the loans of course and so we are back to only the SSI and I cross my fingers and pray month to month that the child support comes in.

I can and will verify my whole situation or you may. Please we are drowning and drowning fast. I pray and pray to no end. I am very depressed everyday and just waking up and getting up is a huge task for me. I have such anxiety and stress that I do not sleep well at night nor do I eat well. I do not get any help from their father and we need a helping hand. A small miracle is what I call it. Please if you can help us. Thank you and God bless. If you can’t help, please tell me who can? I am so tired physically, mentally
