Year help: Well he finally did it. - Help.com

Well he finally did it.

He dumped me, after 3 years he didn’t just dump me, he did it at our place of employment and with little explaination. How does this happen? We don’t argue, have everything in common! I am so lost and so hurt. I feel like I can’t continue to work here, I have to see him everyday. What do I do?

He is one of the Manager’s here. We both work at a dealership. I don’t get it, he has given me very little to go on other then he know thats I want more and he can’t give it to me. Like a 2 minute conversation. How can someone be that cruel? I think after 3 years I deserve more then that. 3 days before this he wined and dined me and got us a room with a hot tub, told me almost everyday how much I mean to him…..

Either this is part of an argument, meaning that it is reversable (but immature), or he has a side engagement.

I believe.

Otherwise (or maybe anyway), he sucks.

It’s really hard to end a long term relationship but the way he did it was a bit cowardly. I wonder how someone can change their mind so quickly, or was he leading you on for some time? You are in shock, suffering from loss and grief so of course you feel terrible. Working at the same place will make things harder. Are you due for some leave perhaps? There’s no easy way to get through this, you just have to face a day at a time. The following link might help:

I don’t think he has anyone on the side, which actually for me makes it harder. At least if that was the case I would have a reason. But he is with me pretty 24/7 when not with the kids. I have kids as well and don’t have any vacation time left to use. I had to go into his building last night which I hated and can you believe he looks at me and says “Is this hows its going to be, you can talk me at work?” What a joke. Maybe I need to relocate.
