Heroes…

…..

Who would you consider your hero and why?

Like if you considered your uncle a hero because he saved a young kitten from being hurt on the street……:S

My hero is a young woman who used to live next door to me. She got pregnant at seventeen to a guy who abused her. She had the baby and decided to keep her but the little girl has cerebral palsy, will spend the rest of her life in a wheel chair and despite being highly intelligent has trouble communicating. My ex neighbour is the best mother I know even though she has little money, few prospects and little support. She adores her child and is an inspiration to everyone who knows her. When I feel sorry for myself I think of her and realize how lucky I am.

My old band teacher, who was such an inspiration to me and taught me things that go way beyond playing an instrument. I miss him greatly and I do not think that I will ever learn things such as what I have learned from him.
