Approximately, how many hours do you spend online per day?

I need some data for a statisitic project (hoping for twenty numbers).

If you are feeling kind and you are a smoker, then tell me too, approximately how many cigarettes do you smoke daily?

Thanks ahead of time

What do you consider an access point? My computer is always connected to the internet and for the most part, windows explorer is always viewing something. Perhaps a better question is how many minutes in a day do we spend on the internet? In which case I would guess approximately 240 minutes.

I sit down 10 times a day. Although, sometimes I get up and walk to the living room, but I carry my laptop with me and it is still connected to the internet, so I’m not sure how that counts?

tinam: actually, sorry to trouble you, I decided your first one counts with the 240 minutes because I changed the question. Thank you.
Ken: so at most that is about .43 of a cigarette/day.

First, I love red pandas and that may be my motivation for responding to this.
I sit down to use my computer once a day outside of school.
I smoke five to ten cigarettes a day (down from a pack a day!)

I spend about four hours in the morning doing my email. This includes Help.com and Eons.com. Then I check MySpace for any additional messages from my kids. After lunch I play a few computer games for a couple of hours. Then I recheck my email. There are usually a few responses from the above sites and I answer them. After finishing my emails I usually just surf the internet for unique stories and misc. things. Before I go to bed I clean up my system delete all the temporary stuff and scan for problems. Then I set my system to defrag and go to bed. Average time on the computer 10-12 hours.

Good luck Ron

Samantha: Well, whatever your motivation, I appreciate your response.

ronrumpf: It doesn’t sound too odd to me that someone spends 12 hours online, the internet just has an evergrowing role in society, I will always prefer outdoors though. Thanks for the response, should I assume you do NOT smoke then?

I smoke about 2 bowls of tobacco a day. I live with my daughter’s family and I have a room of my own. Love the outdoors but life up here is getting a little brisk to be outside to long. I will be hunting this weekend. That’s about it for a while. Don’t have a snowmobile any more.

My health is already sooo poor! But you know what?! when we were kids (ofcourse not allowed to touch a cigarette) we used to roll a paper like a cigarette and lit it from the other side! Now imagine how much we used to cough while breathing such smoke!! and still happy and laughing, so stupid!

The first thing I tried smoking was a cinnamon stick; it was like sucking on a smoke stack and I coughed and gasped and threw it lit in my friend’s trash can. ^_^ It lit up pretty quick. Luckily he had a sprayer attachment on his kitchen sink.

Hahahaha! Thats funny! Thank God you didn’t burn something bigger! Sometimes i sit and think how innocent we were in the childhood and as the time passes more cunning and smart we turn, thinking that we are genius, getting into more serious problems that can’t even be forgiven!! Childhood is the best part of one’s life!

Hmm, interesting question. I think I’m probably the worst though, I spend most of my time on the Internet on an average day. Which can sometimes be about 18+ hours or so. The other 6 hours, is sleep. Until I start my classes next year at least.

As for smoking, I’m trying to quit this week, but usually, it all depends on the day, and my moods, but I’d say about 20 as an estimate.

I hope that helps.

It’s just gone into summer here, (don’t know why it says I’m in the US, I’m in Australia). I use a laptop, my computer is more a backup to me. The laptop sits on my lap and produces alot of heat, my thighs warm up, and the rest of me warms up, and yeah, too hot to use computers. I was using my computer today, it’s in my room, so after awhile that got a bit warm.

Well with my job, I spend 8 hours a day on the internet… 6 if you take out lunch, breaks, and talk time… On my own time, it depends on the day… I can go days without going on, but if I have nothing else to do I can be on all night… I’d say about on average, 3 hours a day.

Smoking, I smoke maybe 8-10 cigarettes a day, also depending on where I am, who I am with, what I am doing.

Well, technically, no. I have a half-hour lunch (me and my boss, who I am very close with, take an hour or more :P) and two 15-minute breaks… But we usually take quite a few more. My job is quite laid-back, and as long as I get my work done, it doesn’t matter. Plus I get paid salary, not hourly, so it doesn’t really matter, as long as, like I said, get my work done.

I love English (loosely interpretted- I am an anti-federalist hehe- joke) I prefer to be the thing that is “new and witty,” but I am still terribly amused if I am just an observer. Everything is humorous! Everything is “just so very very” interesting (I do not like fluff words)! I love plays, musicals, movies, books, but I do not like the whole artsy basket of things. hmhmhm That’s that I guess- nothing is ever so simple, but this should serve for an introduction.
