Ran into some car trouble $900, recent college grad.

This is my story and this is no lie, I am a 22 year old college student who made some mistakes with my finance and now they towed my car away from some tickets I owe in NYC. I went back home for 2 job interviews last month because this is my last semester majoring in Finance at the University at Buffalo. I parked my car went upstairs for 3 hours and when I came back I notice my car was gone (it is a fairly recent 04 Civic already paid $4000 off it). The thing was in New York City parking tickets are ridiculously high and on my old car I racked up over $1000 in fines because of lending others my car. Now I have to come up with $900 out of the $1678 that i currently owe to get my car back. My credit is BAD because i have been struggling to pay off college in the past 4 years, but i know things will get better because I was offered a position to start as Broker at a respectable firm in Trump Plaza on Wall ****.

if anyone has any advise or is willing to loan some money (worth a shot), it would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

just to give you an idea of how much these this one ticket cost me. My cousin parked the car “near” a bus stop, it had a missing right side view mirror because of an accident 2 days before, and my inspection sticker ran out the week before…the total was $425.

sigh…

I’ve lived in NYC too so I know what you mean. I think brokers make good money. If you work on commission, try to get a small loan from your family. Usually grandma’s have cash that they use, jk. Can parents help out? I know it’s a pride thing, but they wouldn’t think any less of you if you asked them. Get your car back, and once you move into NYC, sell the car. Don’t really need a car if you’re gonna live in the city.
