Gary Ludington
Gary Ludington is a candidate in the 2006 municipal election in Ottawa, Canada. He is running for City Councillor in the Kitchissippi Ward, a dense older neighbourhood just to the West of downtown Ottawa. He also ran for Councillor in Kitchissippi Ward in 2003, coming in third with 2,217 votes.
Gary is a long-time resident of Ottawa, having been born in Kitchissippi Ward and living in the ward for more than 25 years. He retired five years ago after a long career in the federal government.
Gary has been involved in community affairs for many years, as President of the Westboro Community Association, on the board of the Newswest community newspaper, Dovercourt Recreation Association, the Kiwanis Club of Ottawa West and Ottawa Neighbourhood Services. He was also a member and Chair of the Environmental Advisory Committee for the City of Ottawa for five years and is currently a member and Vice-chair of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee for the City of Ottawa for the past four years.
