It’s a more advanced form of myspace or facebook, for example…with a twist. I don’t want to say publicly since it doesn’t exist yet.

Well I’ve never created this type of thing before. It requires additional technology and functionality not currently available on myspace or similar site. So sure, though it would take me a while to put it together, I would prefer to be first to market, not to mention the time required to build a user base before seeing competitors out there. I mean, look at myspace. It now has plenty of competitors, but it’s still successful as are many of its competitors. The market is big enough to handle multiple similar solutions. But since mine will take a while to develop (because I’ve never done this before) and create a user base, I prefer to minimize the chance that it will be created before mine just because I was careless with trusting the wrong people. Ok, so you don’t like mypsace. My idea is not just another myspace. But for the sake of simplicity, if you had the next myspace-sized idea, who would you trust to tell it to? Just anyone you haven’t even met in person? If I had lawyer or venture capital friends I’ve known for a while and I knew I could trust, it would be different. But I don’t. So how do I know who to trust?
