Mitzy’s weekend =]
*Friday night at 7pm, Kevin and I were married in a very small ceremony at my grandmother’s house. Everything went great and we are extremely happy to have finally done this after being together for three years. Neither one of us wanted a big wedding for everyone to come to because both of our first weddings were big and we didn’t want to do all that again. So if you didn’t get an invite, don’t be offended, because no one did ;) We had it just the way we wanted it and it was perfect.
*After the wedding we came home, changed clothes, and redid my hair, then went to Manchester to see AudioreigN play. They are the best band in this area, and are great friends of ours. They gave us loads of congratulation shout outs, played for us, and we danced for the first time as husband and wife with them playing behind us. Absolutely wonderful time we had.
*Saturday we headed out to Chattanooga to spend the night. We got an awesome hotel room with a jacuzzi and were surprised to see that it was shaped like a heart. How cool is that? Lol VERY. We spent ALOT of time in that Saturday night, relaxing, having drinks, and… well… *ahem*
*Moving on now… Sunday morning we got up, got ready and went to Rock City. I had never been there before so I was very excited about that. It was amazing. Absolutely beautiful scenery and breathtaking views from the top of Lookout Mountain. Gorgeous. We took a bunch of pictures which I’ll get posted as soon as I can. It was loads of fun and very romantic. If you haven’t been, I highly recommend going.
*After that, we drove to another part of Lookout Mountain to watch people hanggliding. That was a trip! To watch people with kites strapped on their back just walk right off the side of the mountain and fly around like birds 2,000 feet in the air, was ah-freakin-mazing. I can’t imagine the rush they must get from doing that. It was surely fun to watch, but I don’t think I’ll ever try it lol. I got a few pics of that too, which will also be posted soon.
*That evening we had dinner at the Macaroni Grill in East Ridge near Chattanooga. That place was awesome! I had never eaten there before but Kevin had, and had told me about how nice it was. Wow. It was super fancy. Completely surprised me. Food was incredible and we will definitely go back there once in a while when we can afford to lol.
*Then came time to come back home. Wish we could have stayed gone longer, but he had to go back to work today, plus I missed my kiddies and had to get them back from grandma’s so I could take them to school this morning. Short honeymoon, but fantastic anyway =]

Did you happen to go to Ruby Falls? It’s pretty neat, although with the drought it probably isn’t much to see right now. Also, if you are claustrophobic it’s probably not a good idea.
congrats. careful in marcaroni grill though, almost all of the resturants kitchens and foul.
Already been to Ruby Falls, about a year ago, and yes it was lovely as well!!
Thanks!! =]

you know the first thought i had about this post?
only in america could a place called the Macaroni Grill be a fancy pants restaurant.
apart from that, YAY MITZ! YOURE MARRIED! WOOOOOOTNESS!!
CONGRATULATIONS! i don’t know u but i think that marriage is a wonderful thing to happen to anyone, so i wish u and ur significant other the best for the future and long, happy and healthy lives together.
The Art of Marriage
A good marriage must be created
In the marriage, the little things are the big things…
It is never being too old to hold hands
It is remembering to say “I love you” at least once a day
It is never going to sleep angry
It is having a mutual sense of values and common objectives
It is standing together and facing the world
It is forming a circle of love that gathers in the whole family
It is speaking words of appreciation and demonstrating gratitude in thoughtful ways
It is having the capacity to forgive and forget
It is giving each other an atmosphere in which each can grow
It is a common search for the good and the beautiful
It is not only marrying the right person,
It is being the right partner.
I don’t know who wrote this or when it was written, but this poem hangs over my sister and her husband’s bed…I saw it when i last visited them and i thought it was quite special…
Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It looks like you two are off to a swinging start just don’t ever let the fire die. I wish you many years of marrital bliss.
