mmm, i’m passionate about social welfare and child welfare, i’m interested in poverty, but to be specific, i’d rather help out in poverty stricken places where human rights (such as laws involving child labour) are ignored.

How can you reduce poverty in a country were more than 50% of the population earns less than a dollar a day. even where child labor is ill legal and still the government cannot provide free meal so they do not starve to death what should those children do to survive. if they put a law for child welfare they should be able to help those children. what is the purpose of putting such a law when the government does not help.
how do you go about to change it.

bit by bit. person by person. letter by letter. protest by protest. law by law.

there is never going to be an easy way to change these things, but even if i change one childs life, then i’ve done some thing. Hows this for a concept:

in the whole of written history, there has only been two recorded days of complete military peace.

the amount of money spent on military production every two days is enough to feed and educate every child in a third world country.

Less than one per cent of what the world spent every year on weapons was needed to put every child into school by the year 2000 and yet it didn’t happen.

it would take 6 billion dollars to educate all children in third world countries. Europe spends 11 billion on ice cream,

surely this has got to appeal to peoples humanity, i don’t think that we’re a lost cause yet.

to tell the truth? I believe that anything is better than saying ‘it’s too hard’

try the one campaign with ya know bono from u2 ya. i like that organization. it has a good cause with lots of ways to support it. :P or like a local humane society or something.:) just do some research ull find something. :))

What do you believe in deep down in your heart and soul? That would be the first place to start. I believe in giving every woman a voice, helping build their self-esteem, making them strong. That is what I believe in.

your a good person, i wish that i was so centered on my cause like you…. i have just finished a campaign to ban live animal export to the middle east, i got hundreds of signatures to contribute to this massive petition… i did that because i honestly felt that is was a good cause and that something had to be done…. i guess that is what you mean by ‘deep down in my heart and soul’ thaks for the advice, i’ll do my best.
