There’s nothing in this world
That can try to replace,
These tears that are running
Down my face!
A single tear for every sad ending
A movie has ever had,
And a tear for every book
That makes me glad.
A single tear for the rainbow
Stretching across the sky,
And a tear for the dreams
That are left to die.
A single tear for the lonely man
Who lost his hearing & his sight,
And a tear for every country
Whose answer is to fight.
A single tear for all the mothers
Who lost their sons at war,
And a tear for the team
That just couldn’t score.
A single tear for the boy
Who lost his best friend,
And a tear for the girl
Who put her life to an end.
A single tear for the teens
Who abuse drugs to escape,
And a tear for all the innocent girls
Who are a victim of rape.
A single tear for all the kids
Who are cold and hungry,
And a tear for the caged birds
That are not set free.
A single tear for the gambler
Who lost everything he owned,
And a tear for the lonely one
Waiting by the phone.
A tear for the Bride & Groom
Who are about to become one,
And a tear for the newborn
Whose life has just begun.
A single tear for the boy
Who lost his way,
And a tear for the youths
That run away.
A single tear for all the kids
Affected by divorce,
And a tear for all the lonely
In the Army, Navy, Marines & Air Force.
A single tear for the loved ones
Who died the other day,
And a tear for all those other girls
Who cried a tear today!
This Tear says it all!
