Has anybody bought anything from ebay?

I want to buy a watch as a gift for somebody through pay pal i want to pay for it,but would I be able to actually get the reall thing,or is there any con of any sort tru this type of selling?

It depends on the seller. Check their reputation on Ebay. If there is no reputation, don’t buy from that particular user. Overall, my experience with Ebay has been next to nil, but my sister bought several photos of old Rock bands for christmas (for me) and I know she’s bought using the service since.

Ebay is a very good tool to use when trying to find that certain obscure item you can’t find anywhere else.

That isnt a reputation, it is an advertisement, written by themselves, they would hardly say they were dishonest and sold rubbish would they? Personally I have bought on ebay about 12 times, small collectable items from private sellers and never had a problem getting what I paid for. A friend of mine bought a ring from some jeweller on ebay and didnt get what she had hoped for. Although it was as described, she thought she was getting a bargain, and ended up getting something for about what it was worth. Good luck with it, but I would prefer to take my money into a shop and see what I am getting if Im buying something like a watch.

oh ok,i get waht you mean
but the watch i want to buy,is really nice,and dont think i have seen it in stores that are close to me,but when I look under the “meet the seller” it says it has gotten 100% positive feedback,and has been a member since april 2006,the seller sounds good enought to me,so maybe repuation doesnt seem that imprortant? is it posible that the positive feedback is done by the seller just to look good as well =/
