I know you know the answer, in asking this question. But to be infatuated is to be obsessed.

Perhaps. I do not think it is impossible, but I would not pass it off *** an everyday occurrence.

OBSESSION is when you feel that you have to spend every waking hour with the person, feelings of extreme/unrealistic/unfounded jealousy towards them, or feelings of their extreme grandeur that puts them on such a high pedestal.

LOVE is when you genuinely care for someone to the point that you’d do anything for them (including die), you think of having their babies (or giving them some), getting married, giving things up, making them happy, etc.

True. Have you heard The Offspring’s “Special Delivery”? Read it all; it’s about a man infatuated with someone. Lyrics can be found here.

Infactuation is a small crush, you know when your hands get sweaty and your heart starts racing when you see that person.

Love, is a much deeper and stronger emotion. Its real. It doesnt go away if youre angry or if you get upset with that person. Its much more profound than infactuation.

So this is the explination in words, but its hard to tell the emotions apart.

Just remember infactuation=crush and Love=WAYYY MORE THAN A CRUSH.

an infatuation is when you have a little crush on someone. you think everything they do is sweet and stuff.
but love…you feel like they are the reason you are alive.

Umm…. no. That’s incorrect. An infatuation is a deep obsession, a desire, something that makes you hungry.

When I think of love I think of the biblical definition of love which is quite beautiful:

“Love is patient; love is kind
and envies no one.
Love is never boastful, nor conceited, nor rude;
never selfish, not quick to take offense.
There is nothing love cannot face;
there is no limit to its faith,
its hope, and endurance.
In a word, there are three things
that last forever: faith, hope, and love;
but the greatest of them all is love.”

Infatuation on the other hand is quite selfish. I think it is more about what you can get out of the other person, and makes YOU feel good rather than the other person. Its purpose is to “take” whereas love’s purpose is to “give”.

Hope this helped.

infatuation is of the physical body.
love is from the soul

lust is the desire for the body, love is the desire for the soul.

Infattuation is like, when you see a couple who are almost disgustingly “in love”. It is rare for an infatuation to last, and most often it is not a true love. An infatuation can turn into a love, but most often does not.
