What way is His way?
What is His will? These questions can be put into any aspect of our lives. Well we think we know “some” just by what we call common sense. Not to kill for example seems to be right on top, as the common sense of our brains teach us, but what about lying, is this not in our common sense? And what about taking care of our bodies, is this not in our common sense? Another well known fact is to love God with all that we are, but what about loving our neighbor as yourself? I only mean it is easy to love God more than anything you have ever encountered, but the word also says to love your neighbor as yourself. Well to love your neighbors as yourself is not so easy if you look at it through your neighbors eyes. The neighbor sees we are quick to forgive ourselves but not so quick to forgive them of their tresspasses. It seems easy to forgive ourselves for hurting someone else but when we are hurt we have a tendancy to carry these pains along with us showing others our scars not letting go of the blame. This is not the will of God, just as neglecting our own bodies is not the will of God. See we like to allow ourselves to be guided too much by common sense, it seems to be our guide in life more than God, but what is common sense? The Lord said to Peter “What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.” Has God not cleansed us? But indeed He has, therefore we shall no longer call anything in this life, or the next, common. We are now guided by Gods given sense, a sense of direction, a sense of purpose. But the important part is being guided by God, then we no longer are guided by what we have been taught by this world, but that of the kingdom of God and His righteousness. This is the way to His will, and this is to: “seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you”.(matt. 6:33) It is then that His will becomes our life, but more important our life becomes His will. If we focus on our life guided by His will we are still focused on our life, but if we focus on His will for our life then His will becomes first over all. The fact is we may not ever know the fullness of His will, but if we do not focus on His kingdom and His righteousness with all that we are then we will for sure never learn the fullness of His will for our lives. Today is the day to move forward in His will. It does not matter the life that has been built up by us to this point, we here today can drop all that we are and follow Him and His will for our lives. The question is have we ever stopped to think is this really His will for us. What is His way? What is His will? If we seek Him with the will to lose our mind, then while seeking Him we will lose our mind and gain the mind of Christ, and it is then that we will learn His way, His will.
Love you ALL. God bless you
