My mom used to make corned beef and cabbage a lot. Totally yummy :) She bought the corned beef and it had a little packet of spices that came with it. Then she would put it in the crock pot for pretty much all day. I am sure you can also get some ideas on recipe sites. Allrecipes.com is a great one. Good luck :)
