No no no! Metal reflects the waves, it doesn’t matter if the sides are touching or not, it begins sparking and is a major fire hazard.

Newer microwave are fine to use metal in.
old ones, not so much

dont try it. I blew up my microwave and we had to call the fire department. literally, the thing blew up.

lol. I’m glad you didn’t try it out, it produces some pretty ugly results. Your microwave can explode as well

years ago i was niave and didn’t know bout mental in microwaves. i used to put it our microwave but nothing major happened. it did make the food inside make a mess and some small explosion inside but nothing real dangerous.

it freaks me out though that i didn’t know bout the danger of it. how did i not know? i was never told. why? lol
it just freaks me out.
