Make yourself realize your potential and expound on it. Join a sports team or try out a club, find something to do so that you can show yourself you’re strong and not someone that will waste away. Within the comfort of the earth for us all, our narrowed house is there someday, but we can enjoy the time until there, that’s truly the time that matters.

Spend sometime doing volunteer work there are alot of people out there that could use your help especially during this time of the year.Sometimes by seeing how much we mean to others helps us to put things in perspective.

Ah …some excellent advice above. As prettypouf suggested try getting involved in something different… kiyaking, biking, a book club and art club… prove to yourself you can accomplish something you didn’t think you could. I was scared to travel by myself. One day I put together some money and just did it. I went abroad. Yes. It was scary, but I honestly learned to trust myself… to see myself in a different space and to appreciate a different perspective.

rocko asked if anyone had been mean to you … time to let people like that go. If someone is bringing you down they aren’t worth your time or energy. They are toxic to your soul. “With friends like that who needs enemies” as they say. I move on to encouraging friends I enjoy spending my time with.

nurazrin8 mentions to change your way of thinking… sooooo true. If you can get yourself on a postive track you will run over that track rather than going back over your negative thoughts. The brain works the same way it does when we are trying to learn new material… go over it and you will memorize that pathway …the old one will be forgotten and die out.

And asmith954 was suggesting volunteer work… wonderful idea! I can’t tell you what a difference it makes to help someone and to see them accomplish your goals. Not only are they accomplishing their goals …you are accomplishing your goals on the way to happiness and self discovery. :) Its amazing what helping someone does for your own sense of self. I have worked with children and elderly and I can’t tell you how much some of them have really appreciated the attention and care.
