Book report outlines usually follow this format:

I. Introduction that includes a hint at your opinion on the book
II. Any background information that you know on the author or book
III. A short summary of the book
IV. Two or Three specific features that you consider outstanding about the book, perhaps including a few quotes
V. Your overall opinion of the book
