Well, it does come with the kind of job you’ve chosen.
I think it’s good that you work in a hospital. It’s not an easy place to work at, considering what you have to see, hear and smell every day. Perhaps you can give a pleasant smile and some words of encouragement to those who are grieving and those who are suffering with pain. They really need it.
A smile alone can be encouraging to someone. It can even make their day when someone smiles and gives some encouragement. Try to stay positive and look at what you can do to make someone feel a little better.

Thank you for committing yourself to the work you do in a hospital, no matter what kind of work it is.
I appreciate what you are doing. Don’t allow the circumstances around you get you down. Instead, be a shining light of encouragement and hope where you work.

:)

many are called but few are chosen. :) i could not imagine staying in a hospital for such a long period of time everyday, and i believe that you working there who see more of what i don’t see are more empathetic and sensitive to others’ situations–and this post is one proof. Strengthen your faith. you will need it everyday.

It is wonderful that you still have so much compassion for these families, rather than becoming jaded or calloused. Hope you can continue to assist them.
