I once dropped my house keys down a street gutter, uk ones are small and have bars across so no way of getting them out, I spent about 10 mins on my hands and knees trying to figure out how to get them out, thinking about useing a twig or something when a council van pulls up to unblock al the drains on the same road lol
I called them over and they used a long pole thing to swing the grid open and they pulled my keys out :D
I was lucky really in many ways, for one that it was blocked full of leaves and rubbish, if it hadn’t have been blocked then they would have gone right to the bottom in about 2 feet of water :S , and also the fact that they turned up when they did, bizarre, the funny thing is I have never seen the council unblock drains before or after that O_o

Rooting through my bag for my purse and they fell out the side, learnt my lesson though, now I have a tone of keyrings on them so they won’t fit down a gutter :D
