Does anyone have an opinion about whether an organized quit smoking support group in the workplace is reasonably appropriate or not?

We are a small company of about 40 people, and there are 6 that smoke. 4 of them have decided to quit on 12/12 and are trying to recruit others. In a professional environment, where there are obvious benefits to the company, is it reasonable to trade “smoke breaks” with “support breaks”?

Aren’t you offering all employees a “coffee” break?

Certainly…we are pretty lax about people taking breaks as needed.
