where is ZA anyway..is that in the land of rant and rave..
look, there are some things on this site I do not like, but really, the site is what it says it is..
if you read the Start a New Post page, it does not say only post things you need help with, and the site has a disclaimer that it does not claim to offer expert advice.
as for who is or is not a qualified mental health proffesional, I do not think it is possible for you, Charm, to know every members background or education.
last, if it bothers you that much, you can always change the channel..:)

Ok, I believe that you’re welcomed to your opinion, however, it doesn’t seem fair to say that help is not a website for help. After all, you, yourself also later state that you have had help.
Some people try really hard to give the best or most sound advice they have possible—which can in some cases be exactly what a person needs, and in other cases…not be.
The thing is when people of varying ages network together, the problems they are faced with will be just as diverse as the people who make up the members.
Free advice is simply that, take it or leave it.
i totally agree. this site is NOT for “professional” help. Obviously, you need more of this “professional” help than we can offer (b/c we don’t offer it), thus… SCRAM.

you come on here and put us down for trying to help people the best way we know how to and your expecting us to be nice to you….your pushing your own boat out hon….nobody else is doing it..no wonder your getting negative responses…are you just lookin for someone to fight with?
so, charm, I was told that if I was having an issue with more than 4 people, them it was most likely MY issue, not theirs.
Does that mean anything to you at all?
Help is any form of assistance weather big or small. I’ve seen what you mean though about people being overly aggressive to other users. This site provides great moral support and confidence for those who need it. I agree about some people needing to seek professional help, like if they had gone through a traumatizing event.

Sorry I have to agree with this, yes this site can get a bit child like at times, but it is only what it is… A Website, if you need help that badly then get outside help, and if it bothers you so much being here then don’t use this site.
I am sorry you feel like you have been treated so poorly here and I am glad at east one person came to your aid but really, don’t let a website be something to add to your list of problems.

There are lots of posts like these…where a user is a bit sore over things people have said.
I think if anyone here has an opinion or is an ‘expert’ on the subject (having gone through it themselves) then they are going to be opinionated and hurt when others have their own experiences and advise if it isn’t on parallel standing.
Some days I’m a bit rough around the edges, others I try and be empathetic…I’m just human like everyone else. And as active as I am, I do/will take offense to the comments that this site/users isn’t/aren’t helpful, when I know it’s helped others and myself—a lot.
Like they say in Maryland about the weather…”Don’t like it, stick around 5 minutes.” Things change around here—a lot and sometimes quickly, thing is everyone has a right to their opinion (so long as it doesn’t break the TOS).

My thanks to all the members for their replies! My post was trying to bring something under your attention and to hear your opinions. I also do understand now that members are trying their best to give good advice and how they perceive the problems others have and I’m sorry if I have offended anybody. Love you all but my next post, I’m working on, is coming up. I’m just warning you, it will be more difficult!
