Money help: Hello, my name is Lilia. - Help.com

Hello, my name is Lilia.

I need your help. My parents started a little business and for this they borrowed some money from a person. The man lend them the money with a single conditiion: to give him our own house (my parents built it by themselves for 20 years) as a pledge in case they can not return the money in time. The whole amount of money was of $20.000 plus $800 every mount as percents to this sum. The 22 of december 2007 is the last day for my parents to return this money, if not… our house automatically passes to this man. We are four sisters and I don’t know how to help my parents. The person that lend to my parents this money says if my parents give him the percents (that is $9600) he will prolong the contract with my parents and will give them one more chance to save uor house, but my father’s business doesn’t bring such a great sum in such a short period of time. I don’t want you to give this money to my parents, I want you just to lend it to them for a longer period of time. Please, help us.

It,s $800 per month that this person wants from my parentrs during a year and then the rest of the sum that is $20000. They (my parents and this man) have signed a contract where this sum is not indicated as interest rats but as part of the whole sum that has to be returned monthly. And now he wants this monthly amount of money (that is $9600 for a year). If not, he will address to the court and will begin the juridical process

Thanks a lot for your advice, but it is not as simple as it seems to be. He was already at the court for preliminary process and they (the judge) say that if we don’t pay him the money our house automatically passes to him and he has the full right to do what he wants with it (even send it)
