You should have no trouble if you fill out a fasa , you can do that online & their will be many lenders who will love to lend to you. Look up student loan lenders online, some are wells fargo, sallie mae, educaid, sun trust…….

I have a pelt grant and a stafford loan, but none of which leave me anything for supplies after tuition. I have been denied all private loans i have applied for. None I know has good enough credit to cosign, and it would take me months to be able to afford a computer and all the supplies i need for my course. there has to be another way.

When I was a student on campus they had credit companies there all the time , get a credit card and use it to get a computer-macs last longer, and there are sites now you can get books online much cheaper, also some schools will lend books or have them in the library and in ca there is a program for low-income that will buy you like 300. worth of books a semester, its on most campuses, I cant remember what its called. You can also ask your teacher for a loner or share a book w/ someone else in class &? or go copy out it at staples or kinkos and look for other students selling their books much cheaper. Some schools &/or apple have speciel programs that will help you get a computer,
God bless & good luck- i was in the same situation & now adays computers are necessery, one more thought get a student work job in schools computer lab & you will end up being able to have access to one allot.

Thanks :-), I am taking online classes Kaplan University. Alot of what you have just said would be well, not very helpful in my online situation. I have a computer in the house obviously, but Its a dinosaur and not quite capable of handling the tasks I will need of it as I am taking up programming. Plus this comuter is not mine so i will not be able to access it as much as i will need for taking my courses. I will look into some of the things you mentioned but my faith is running low. again thanks for the reply.

seems like people think this is a joke. todays my birthday i am happy. I cannot afford printer paper, or a compputer that will be of good enough quality for the programs i need to install so i can do this college thing. It’s my first time doing anything college related, and truthfully i knew i couldnt afford everything that goes along with it. but my admissons counsellor talked me smack into it, saying things like we can get you all the funding you need, grants loans, but i wont see any of this money. so how am i supposed to get further help now that i have been fooled into this. I really want to get the degree. but hell this computer im using doesnt even have a cd-rom drive. its my mothers dinosaur computer the cd-rom burned up a few months ago, i dont even have a way of using the discs they will send me. I am not asking for a gift, i just want to know is there anyone out there that will have faith enough if one person to just loan the money without a cosigner. the only thing left for me to do is try private loans, but i have been turned down from everyone because i dont know anyone willing to cosign. this is just wrong. and then you get a reply like this above from a dr.mandy that gets what little hope you have up and then come to find out its some con artist crap , or the forum deactivates the account and you never get the chance to find out. it seems i will have to back out of this for now. because as i knew from the beginning i was getting in over my head, and there is none that will be willing to help. so in the future and if there are other people in this situation reading this then i advise you do the same, in the future just do not do anything related to advancing your csreer until you have saved enough money to cover all your expenses because you will get very limited help. scholarships are for high school students so dont expect to get one if you are 27 . stafford loans help but in this case all it covers is tuition and not other expenses. dont rely on the word of your financial aid representative and listen not to what the administrative counselor tells you about yeah we can get you all the funding we need, depend solely onyourself, and if you are from a poor family and have no friends or relatives with good cr3edit,and too many bills to be able to save for college, well then it just wasnt meant to be.
